Career Education
In our school division, we attempt to follow the Blueprints for Life Framework, which is fully supported by Saskatchewan Learning and the Western Canada Protocol, and our Faith Education curricula. These sources offer a great deal of support for Career Development and the building of skills that will allow students to make good choices in the future and be prepared for change.
In Holy Rosary High School, Career Education begins upon entrance into grade 8 and continues throughout grade 12. Most of the formal education occurs in career sessions with teachers and career counsellors, but there are many opportunities to learn and practice new skills in various courses, including the Practical and Applied Arts and core classes like English Language Arts.
